The toilet block in Logba has been making great progress. As you can see in the pictures below, the block has laid and the roof is now on. What is left is to make finishing touches to the inside of each stall - 8 in total.

The 2016 team had an amazing time in Ghana - a team of 5 medical students from VCU and 5 residents from St Francis Family Medicine traveled to Ghana in June 2016. Their trip was multi-faceted, involving clinical care via medical clinics, and public health/development projects including water filter distribution and restroom facility construction.
The team saw a total of 841 patients in 5 villages. 50 water filters were distributed to families in one of the villages. A large-scale restroom block project was initiated in another community. Progress has been slow and steady due to the rainy season, and more updates are coming soon. Overall, the 2016 trip was a great success. We thank all of our friends and supporters for helping make this happen! |
